Help.
Most things are one tap inside the app.
Here is the rest, and the address of a person.
Talk to a person
Email support@foodakl.com — questions, bugs, a plate it read badly, or a feature you wish existed. Include a screenshot if you can; it saves a round trip. We read everything.
Foodakl is also on TikTok (@foodaklapp), Instagram (@foodakl_), YouTube (@foodakl) and Reddit (u/foodakl).
It read my plate wrong
Tap the meal, then the item. You can change the portion, rename it, or remove it entirely — and the totals update immediately. Corrections never cost you an analysis, so fix as much as you like. The brackets drawn over your photo show exactly what the reading looked at, which usually explains the mistake: a sauce it couldn’t see, or two things it read as one.
How do I move to a new phone?
Your record lives on your device, so it does not follow you automatically. Before switching: More → Your record → Save to this phone, choose JSON, and keep that file. Photos stay on the old device — copy them yourself if you want them. If you have signed in, More → Account and sharing can back the record up and restore it on the new phone instead.
Getting your data out
Three formats, all free, all in More → Your record:
- CSV — a sectioned spreadsheet your dietitian can open anywhere.
- JSON — the complete structure, for you.
- PDF — a designed 30-day report with charts, for a coach or clinic.
Use Save to this phone to put the file straight into a folder, or Send a copy to hand it to another app.
Deleting everything
More → Your record → Delete everything. You’ll be asked to hold the button, because it cannot be undone. Export first if there is any doubt. If you have never signed in, that is the whole of it — deleting the app removes everything it held. If you have an account, delete that separately from More → Account and sharing → Delete account, which removes your email address, your backups and anything you posted to the suggestion board from our server.
Reminders aren’t arriving
Check they’re switched on in More → Reminders, then check Foodakl is allowed to notify you in your phone’s own settings. Note that nothing arrives until you’ve logged three days — reminders are learned from your actual mealtimes, not guessed — and never between 9:30pm and 7:30am.
Why did my analysis not count?
It shouldn’t have. A failed reading never consumes a credit, by design. If you’re seeing a credit disappear on a failure, that’s a bug we want to hear about immediately.
